Chosen Solution Got this laptop from a Pawn shop, and tried to do a clean Big Sur on it, but encountered problems on finishing the OS installation, here is what happened and the actions I did so far: Tried to boot into recovery mode by clicking option+command+R (command + R gave me 1008F error), can see the internet recovery loading bar moving after get it connected with WIFI, then see the Apple logo with loading bar, but it crashed after that (fan was laud for about 1 second), and looks like it tries the internet recovery mode again itself....
Chosen Solution Hi. I replaced the display on my MacBook Air last night using Ifixit’s kit. All went well. The new display works great, and everything else is functioning normally. However, the fan runs constantly even without intense usage. The computer is not even hot either. I’m worried I may have done something wrong during the replacement. Chosen Solution Apple made a major change in this series! Unlike the 2015 models which had the fans plug directly to the logic board, here Apple routed the fans via the upper case via the keyboard logic to then share the connection via the keyboard cable to the logic board! As you switched out the keyboard cable I can only surmise the connector got damaged in the process or you had liquid damage given what you also replaced, but didn’t find the liquid damage on the uppercase or logic board....
Chosen Solution hinge failure caused door opener to fail. Will not move, low humming sound from opener Unplug the opener before it burns out and repair the hinge. I assume the failed hinge has been corrected? If this is a standard overhead door, have you checked that the preload springs are intact and still correctly adjusted (professional door tech job if one has broken or come loose). If that checks out, I would disconnect the opener car from the door and see if the door opener car moves without the door attached....

I removed the LCD and noticed the LVDS cable was damaged (suppose this has been done by the previous owner while removing the HDD). Ordered a new one, waiting to arrive. When I start the iMac I can hear the chime, 3 diagnosis lights lite up, the 4th is off since the LCD panel is not connected....

It is possible that this is caused by a loose heat shield that will increase the vibration as there is more pressure on the exhaust pipe....

Chosen Solution So i when thru the repair guide on here to replace my rattling right speaker. No issue with screen before but after installation the screen have issue. I went thru removal guide 2x double checking if any wire i miss or not properly connected and everything seems fine. I connect it to external monitor and it looks fine thru monitor. I did the smc reset and pram reset still have same issue....

Have cleaned pump filter basket, all hoses,no blockage. During all spin cycles, no mater load size major vibration. Inspection of absorbers notes oil at bottom of three. Belt, motor and spider assembly in good shape. D Jones, the shock absorber on this model will NOT leak since it does not have oil in it to leak....
