LCD’s are easily damaged, depending on the refurb and bonding process. Liquid (LOCA) glue residue found near/on flex cables is often a hint. Also, another good possibility involves the flex cable connectors themselves. Did the replacement LCD-digitizer cables have foam pads on the back side of the connectors or just shiny metal?...

Chosen Solution Hi guys, I have a problem with a iPad 2. I bought this thinking it just needed a new digitiser as it was advertised on eBay. When it arrived it was working. Replaced digitiser (that came with it new) plugged into charger and it started going into a loop. Charge battery sign then Apple logo the the cog then blank. My logic suggests there should be some sort of charging voltage?? Hi @jeppes , This is only supposition on my part but perhaps the battery management system in the tablet needs to detect that there is a battery present (perhaps by detecting a current flow out of the battery and into the load) or detecting that there is a preset minimum battery voltage level before it turns on the charging voltage....
Chosen Solution Using either the Compass app for PhoneDoctor app to test the compass functionality and it seems like it is not working. Other functionality does seem to work fine; gyroscope, accelerometer, etc. Done a factory reset, DFU restore, nothing. What could possibly be the problem? Thanks! Maybe use a sensor data output app to see if the gyro is actually working, if it works, then check magnetometer data.
