Chosen Solution Hi guys, i’ve replaced my iPhone’s display, everything works well but the ear speaker, when i’m on the phone the display turns off, so the proximity sensor works, even the front camera works, but not the speaker… i’ve moved all the parts from the old display to the new one, even the little piece with 4 gold dots. Reinspect that area. Check for damaged cables near the gold contacts, make sure the right screws are in place (2 different sizes), check if the gold contacts are tarnished....

Chosen Solution I have a 2000 nissan xterra that the electric fan on the radiator does not come on and it over heats. Bill N. I show that the xterra should have a crankshaft driven cooling fan. There may be one in front of the radiator. In the 2000 the extra fan is turned on by the ECU. The A/C switch and the engine temperature sensor are simply inputs to the ECU which decides whether or not the fan should be on....

Chosen Solution A few days ago I updated my iPhone 5s from iOS 11.x to 12 using iTunes. Somewhere in the middle of the update it stopped with error 14. Since then the iPhone can only boot into DFU and recovery mode. In iTunes I have tried to update without restoring to no avail. It always ends in error 14. Using the Apple Configurator I tried Revice Device from DFU which also ends in error 14....

Chosen Solution On my Sony Alpha A55V, when I turn my 18-250 Sony Zoom Lens, I get a F– error where the aperture numbers are and it won’t correct until I zoom back. It won’t take a photo or anything when this F– message comes up. If you have another zoom lens, I would test it with the other. If not, I would take the body to a camera store and ask to try their lenses to see if this error occurs on the store’s zoom lens....

Chosen Solution I am trying to use an old LG Premier phone that belonged to my deceased father. I did a factory reset but it asks for a Google account that has been used with this phone before. I do not have that information. How can I continue the reset procedure without this information. This is an unlocked phone. Chosen Solution I just upgraded the RAM in my late 2018 Mac mini, and now the fan seems to run all the time. Prior to the upgrade it was rare that I heard it. It might ramp up but then would go back down. Now it’s always audible & running. Went from 8GB to 32GB - So far everything seems to be functioning as normal. I had this on a earlier generation Mini and it was because on of the cables for the sensor’s were loose....

Chosen Solution The charger died, and in the process of trying to retrofit a charger I seem to have damaged the device. Now that i have a new replacement charger, there is no light when the charger is plugged in, and the device does not charge. Can the device be fixed? Could it be the charging circuit? Can anything be replaced? It depends. Perhaps check all the capacitors and other parts for shorts, then it looks like you might have to track down a replacement PMIC of some sort and solder it in....

The Fan was extremely noisy so like usual I took laptop apart and replaced the fan, when i replaced the fan i replaced the thermal paste with better aftermarket paste. Everything seemed to go smoothly . I booted it up and got the cpu fan error . I verified the fan was working by taking it back apart and hooking it to a small power source....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a Lenovo IdeaTab A1000-F tablet, very similar to the IdeaTab A1000L posted here in iFixit. After a severe drop the front glass has been cracked but the lcd is working fine. I wish to replace just the cracked part and not the whole display assembly, but I haven’t yet found any guides on how to do that. All of the guides (including the one at iFixit), always end up removing the main board from the front housing and stop there....

Chosen Solution Doesn’t self balance how to fix, do not have metal shuber to remove wheel cap Turn it off replace batteries and place fresh ones. Turn it back on and place standing position. Hold for 5 seconds allow bot to acknowledge current standing position then let go. Enjoy.
