Chosen Solution Hello, After replacing my screen, my antenna for data is not working very well indoors and is generally not as consistent. I get the No Service - Emergency Calls Only mode often when I’m indoors or if I move around. I’ve done the following things to try and fix it: hard reset of my phone taken it into a cell phone repair place starting up in recovery moderestarting my phoneturning the data on and off The data works, it’s just not as strong/consistent as before the screen was replaced....

Chosen Solution I have a defrost timer brand new but it won’t go in defrost mode I have to do that manually and it will come out of defrost, but what I notice when the timer is in cool mode. only pin 1 and 2 which is defrost mode getting power and when I check 1 and 4 getting nothing which is cooling mode, and also the coil which is 1 and 3 nothing also, the thing is when I turn off the thermostat that where 1 and 3 getting power and I can hear the motor moving and the timer would advance normally but that when the thermostat off I don’t know if the thermostat is bad but I am getting conunity on the thermostat...

Chosen Solution I’m trying to figure out the repair my macbookpro 15’ mid 2009 3,06GHz needs: -blacks on the display turn green, pressing the case sometimes helps fans turn on maximum after just a few minutes in operation. otherwise the computer works fine. Still on OS10.7.5 much appreciated if anyone can help me diagnose a newbie Yes, you have a GPU failure! To fix this will require a new logic board or we can bypass the dedicated GPU and just use the less powerful intel graphics....

Chosen Solution I just moved into a new home with an already established network. My computer is showing many other networks but not ours. My phone, ad well as my roommates’ Apple computers are able to connect but I was told that the network has never been discoverable on an hp laptop. I have tried a network reset, connecting/disconnect the WiFi many times, and resetting the router with no luck....

They may not be a permanent fix, however it will be your best bet until you can get your screen replaced.

Chosen Solution I have a 2010 Air 13" with spanish keyboard. Very little water was spilled on it but since then it s not acting correctly. I plugged in an external keyboard which makes it work almost right. It starts in safe mode though, so I d like to disconnect the keyboard to see how it works then. I took it to a repair center and they told me the mother board was dead, but I don t really believe them....

Chosen Solution Can you hear the fans spinning? if not make sure you connected the battery. I often forget to do that! My guess you blew something in the backlight circuit when you changed the screen. Maybe you forgot to disconnect the battery. It will be savable, but you need to find someone who does motherboard repair.

Chosen Solution Was on for 10 minutes then went blank and no sound. Cables and cords good, Remote won’t do anything with TV have to turn on manually and unplug from elect. to turn off. No power surges, New batteries in remote. I don’t know what to check now! Have you tried unplugging the power cord at the tv end? I know it sounds strange, but I had an RCA tv that wasn’t working, and for some reason I unplugged the tv end and plugged it back in....

Chosen Solution Recently I got my handset’s back glass & screen replaced as they were shattered in drop, but whenever I try to set up my FaceID the only message that pops up is move your head little lower/higher . Even the portrait mode of front camera is not working not only is it not sensing depth but lighting would remain the same in all in it’s modes . None of the parts of FaceID assembly have been replaced, Animoji , Attention awareness features auto brightness are fully functional....

Chosen Solution Replaced old power supply. Computer ran well for about 4 hrs after closing it up then the new power supply failed due to heat buildup. Suspect lost cooling air flow. Can a fan failure be the fan only or instead be a problem with the main board’s control of the fan? More likely the power supply still has the original electrolytic capacitors which are faulty! What is the Great Capacitor Plague?...

Chosen Solution I’m replacing the upper case on my MacBook Pro 15" mid 2012 A1286 and there is foam and a gold adhesive that I will need to add to the replacement upper. I’ve added a picture that captures the two parts I am referring to. The foam is silver in color and located along where the display hinge would be; I’m fairly certain is made of metal. The gold adhesive bonded a metal plate to the upper and is connected to an antenna wire that was located below the optical drive....

Chosen Solution About a year ago, out of the blue my cameras and flashlight stopped working. It does not work with FaceTime, I’ve tried factory resetting my phone as well to no avail. All that shows up on the camera is a black screen. This sounds probably like the cameras are faulty and need replacing. Although it could be a motherboard issue which is not as likely sometimes just a new rear camera will fix this issue....

Chosen Solution I have an 18 year old fridge that stopped cooling and I’d really like to repair it as buying a new one isn’t an option for a number of reasons right now. The problem started shortly after we lost power and it returned. The fridge is plugged into a 3 prong outlet with a ground. Never had any problems with this fridge cooling or icing up in the freezer section....

It dropped really hard , but nothing happened to the phone except for it for turning off every couple of minutes. I was able to fix that by unclipping & then clipping the battery connector back in. But while I was doing that I mistakenly ripped the main connector of the front facing camera....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I’m new to cassettes and the culture surrounding it but recently I came across an old JVC play / record deck but whenever I tried to play something on it it would spin for a bit and soon it would stop and start to emit a high pitched noise. I tried fixing it but when I put it back together the play/rec slider was jammed up. I can’t seem to find what caused it, if anyone knows anything about either of these problems I’d greatly appreciate the help....

Chosen Solution I have the Ks Immerse noise cancelling wireless headphones and since yesterday the charging light is not coming on. At first I thought maybe the light just wasn’t working but they were charging and today when I used them, after about 5mins they told me the battery was low and needed charging. The light is still not coming on after doing a reset and trying different cables and charging points....

Chosen Solution On my Maytag Bravos MVWX700XL0 the cold water has been slow in two houses. I’ve replaced the hoses, screens and now even the cold water inlet valve but the problem persists. The pressure never seemed poor in either location. The hot water flows at a normal rate but even running a hot water cycle can stall during rinse because of the lack of cold water. The inlet valve works on 120V AC....

Chosen Solution Got a brand new MacBook and know machine is ‘owned’ by others —who I cannot shut out or eliminate. Hardware wise came with 120 GB Hard Drive(but only discovered this when I re-installed Snow Leopard OS (10.6.6)…original disk was I believe 10.5.6 and disk utility told me it was something like 111 GB. Have stuck with Snow Leopard and can use computer but know I am being hacked by at least several networks and cannot clean up the machine....
