Chosen Solution I cracked my screen on my J1. I would rather avoid spending several hundred dollars, since the camera is not worth too much more. Can I replace it myself, is it hard to do? There are some used screens @ ebay. How about asking one of the local sellers what the steps are in replacement… . I can’t imagine it being too complicated but i haven’t worked on a J1 before....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a mid 2015 Macbook Pro. Recently it shut down mid use. After that it will get to the black apple loading screen and just shut off. When I try booting into recovery mode or diagnostic mode it also shuts down. In diagnostic mode I can select a language, it starts to run, and then powers off quickly before doing much. My battery is in poor health (2000 cycles, service recommended)....

Chosen Solution Just recently I discovered that I wasn’t getting the GPU features I expected from my Macbook. After some investigation I discovered that the System Report is only showing the integrated Intel 4000 HD graphics, not the nVidia GT650M discrete GPU that came with the original system. I’ve also tried gfxCard status which shows only the Intel graphics. Oddly, when I try to switch to “integrated only” I’m not able to because Google Chrome Helper requires the discrete GPU (which, as you may recall, doesn’t exist as far as OS X is concerned)....

Chosen Solution We use bare hands or anti static or rubber gloves Marques Keby, for as long as you do not run your fingers all over the board and protect your board from ESD you are fine without gloves. Should be fine. Unless you’re a greasy Italian like me, grinding out repair after repair all day. Ha “anti-static rubber gloves” haha who comes up with this stuff? Other than the people selling it… If you’ve got a static safe work area you’ll be fine....

I need help desperately!! Many thanks in advance This is almost certainly a blocked print head. You can use the nozzle cleaning as much as you want but if the printer was left for any amount of time without being used the ink will have dried to a hard substance in the head unit....
Chosen Solution Hi guys 2 Weeks ago i flooded my laptop with tea, with sugar in it. It immediately blacked out. I dried it for 2-3 days on its head, fan assisted. After that it turned on again. I noticed the fan running heavily and the cpu being very occupied with that kernel task when running more than one application or eben when not. I read online that this is common, but no real fixes for it....
Chosen Solution My problem is my front camera doesnt work on some apps like facetime, snapchat, instagram etc but it works on the main camera app. Back your phone up and then do a restore through iTunes and see if that fixes the problem as it defiantly a software problem. I changed the front camera, all working now

The problem could be a few things, the belt may have came off, debri or belt may be jamming drive pulley from turning, small drive gear may be jamming in wheel, faulty transmission, etc....

I replaced the charging port first, no change. I then replaced the battery and still it doesn’t show any signs of life. Unfortunately this model laptop as with many other models, has what is called an integrated video card. Meaning your Motherboard and Graphics card are one in the same. What this means is, you must replace the motherboard to replace the graphics card as they are integrated into one another....
