At the moment, my solution is to maintain a dummy hdmi emulator plugged in at all times. Is there any software workaround, such as disabling a driver or so ? So I downloaded Mac Fan Control, which allowed me to manually activate fans with no problem, ruling out a bad fan. When I set fans to auto in mac fan control to observe how the computer operates under load, the rpm value on mac fan control went into the 2-3k rpm range, but the fans never actually activated....
