Chosen Solution Hello, I’ve got a problem with Xbox One S controller (model 1708). Device can run from about 30 seconds to 2 minutes, then turns off. It heated up under left analog, so I opened it and it seems that the IC named IACMG left to the D-Pad generates the heat. I discovered that capacitor C20 next to that IC is burned and act like a wire, so I desoldered it and put other capacitor, although I don’t know the capacity of C20, so I inserted 1uF as I only had these (terrible idea, but I thought it may be better than burned cap)....

Chosen Solution My 1945 GE toaster has a frayed electrical cord near the plug end. Can this be fixed? Hi @revaappleseed , If it is just frayed at the plug end and the rest of the cord is OK, just cut back the cord to where it is OK and re-terminate it back on the plug. If doing this reduces the cord length too much to be suitable for using the toaster where you want or if the cord is frayed in more locations replace the entire cord....

Chosen Solution My late 2012 27” i5, without an SSD got very very slow. Disk Read/Write never gets above 20MB/s with normal computer usage until I Run BlackMagic, when disk is capable of hitting over 80MB/s . CPU use is minimal, ram is free and so is disk space. Looks like something is throttling the system disk access, so anything i do is painfully slow. Apple System Diagnostics shows no errors with even the most thoroug scan, surface scan prooved no errors and so did fdisk -fy from single user mode....

I really need my phone and I want to fix it tonight. Looking at your story/question you most likely have damaged your battery connector or the battery itself, there’s unfortunately nothing you can do, you’ll have to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed....

I have a large crack diagonally across my phone so I was concerned water would get in, but the screen seemed fine. Even so, I left it to dry facedown overnight (The on/off button doesn’t work anymore so I don’t know how to turn it off completely, but it was in sleep mode....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a simillar problem. When I run the AHT it “spits out” the error code 4SNS/1/40000000: TGOD but no numbers after it so I wonder what happened. My mac is also running fairly well, it doesn’t shut down after some time. But when i even 1 app it goes into some kind of turbo mode and the metal (near the display) is really hot. So do you think I am worrying to much or should I check the cooler fans....

Chosen Solution Ok, so I’m running a 2017 iMac w/ an internal 1 Tb SATA drive. I wanted some extra firepower, namely when using iMovie, so I followed the advice of native ifixit’ers and bought an external SSD (500 Gb Samsung T5) and installed Catalina onto it. Everything is working great so far, except for a couple questions I have—more out of curiosity than anything: I just noticed that “Adobe Flash Player” isn’t being recognized/utilized from my internal SATA drive—as I just was scrolling a website, and got the ol’ “This content requires the Adobe Flash Player” message....

Chosen Solution I have a paper jam in my dell e525w printer. The usual approach of opening the back flipping the 2 blue levers won’t work because the paper is crimped up accordian-style at the top of the printer just before it comes out. Can’t get to it from the front nor the back. Do I need to take the printer apart? Is there another way? Chosen Solution Hello whilst tearing down an IPAD2 A1397 (wifi only) to replace the battery, I have mistakenly cut slightly into the ribbon which attaches what appears to be called a WWAN board to the longer motherboard. Is this just for power and therefore am I able to just glue back on or is this for data? Can I order a replacement module and stick back together or do i need to replace the overall motherboard with this module in tact, in which case it isnt going to be economical to repair....

I got a Creative Nomad Jukebox (the original 6Gb blue) and in the pictures for the listing it shows that it was working (got it months ago and never had the time to bother with it). I pulled it out today and put batteries in it but it doesn’t work. All of the warranty stickers are intact. The top of the device does get warm a little while after being plugged in but nothing on the display....

Chosen Solution After installing a new LCD screen on my iPhone 6s Plus and powering it on to test before closing it, I got the lines on the LCD. So I powered the phone off, disconnected the battery, disconnected the display, in order to reconnect it and see if that fixed the lines. The problem is I forgot I was using tweezers with metal tips (I know I know idiot move) and there was a small spark in the battery connector....

Chosen Solution I disconnected my ipod without ejecting first and now it won’t respond in any way? Have you tried restarting the iPod? Hold Menu + Center buttons down for about 5 seconds, then your iPod will restart. Charge the iPod for a few hours.Try resetting the iPod by holding down the MENU and center buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. If it works, you should see an Apple logo, and it will work again....
