I opened it up to see what is wrong with it and i found out that my cr2302 (CMOS) battery had exploded and put battery acid all over my motherboard and optical drive is there any way to clean it off and get the console working again or should i just order a new board?...

Chosen Solution Have dark showdown down middle of screen More than likely your LCD panel is going bad or the backlight is going bad. I doubt you would have much luck finding a part to replace it at a decent price since TV’s are so cheap now. I’d search for a local repair shop to see what the repair cost would be or atleast the price for the part.

Chosen Solution Heyo Recently replaced my device’s screen after accidentally breaking the cables when replacing the battery (ooooopsies |:-/ ). Anyway, now the device won’t close all the way. I don’t get that nice crunch when trying to close it up. It slides in fine, but it doesn’t actually attach itself. Any suggestions? Edit: Right now my plan is just to get one of those cases with a front portion. After following the vid, I held the lower volume and power buttons until it had no power left, as I can look at charge percentage and see the screen where it’s trying to turn on. After some web search I booted the system with the install CD. After startup when I try to install it says “Mac OSX cannot be installed on this computer” . I have cloned the old ssd from my aged Macbook Pro onto a Samsung T5 portable SSD and can successfully boot the iMac upon startup by holding the option key and selecting the SSD, but when I go to the Startup Disk trying to have the iMac automatically use the SSD to boot the computer, the Samsung T5 doesn’t appear in Startup Disk....

Chosen Solution Hello I have a fat ps2 and i took it apart awhile back to clean the console because. I disconnected the power ribbon from under the DVD drive then I just cleaned it up with some compressed air and some cotton swabs without any thing on them.. After I did that i couldn’t get the power cable back in under the DVD drive so i disconnected the two ribbon cables from under the DVD drive....
