Chosen Solution I have a 2015 retina macbook and it can get quite warm and thermal throttle. I was wondering if I could replace the thermal paste with liquid metal like in this youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdTsra-u… Some liquid metal dissolves aluminum alloy, be careful. I really don’t recommend liquid metal TIM for your MacBook. Yes, liquid metal is able to transfer heat a bit better than ceramic or diamond TIM. I’ve found Arctic Silver is just fine without the risks....

Chosen Solution I have a 2005 Grand Am Pontiac I just changed the starter and brand new battery but as I try to crank the car there’s just a clicking sound and it sound like the relay fuse is clicking what’s going on can you guys please help me and I don’t want to just keep wasting unnecessary money A clicking sound normally means one one or both of the battery terminals are loose, check them and tighten if required and try to start the car again....

Chosen Solution My laptop has been in need of a replacement battery for a long while to the point where it would immediately shut off if not plugged into a power source. Recently I had a power outage and it was plugged into a powerstrip with surge protection but since the outage it will not power on at all. The light that indicates charging still comes on when it is plugged in and changes color when the power button is pressed but the light on the power button does not turn on and the laptop shows no others signs of functioning when it is pressed....

Chosen Solution Has anyone seen an iPhone 11 Pro display that is very dimmed? It has around 1/3 brightness compared to my own iphone 11 pro max when I set brightness on highest. I reset the user settings to be sure it wasn’t a setting. The disply is already dimmed when you see the apple logo when booting. the phone was dropped and I replaced the backcover and cameralens on it....

Chosen Solution How do I replace the LCD screen on my Nikon D5500. How is the screen attached. Is it with sticky tape or something else. The guides for other camera models is no help. The only one that was for only the D5500 was not in English and was no help The d5000 and s5100 both have a replacement guide and should be similar to a degree, if you end up proceeding with the replacement please document it and create a guide for future users....

Chosen Solution Just checked this battery i bought 2-3 months ago and there is no battery voltage. It was either bad when i got it or was low to begin with and went lower. Any ideas if it will come back up or is it just toast ? Thanks It sounds like if it hasn’t come back up after a charge, then the battery must be defective, I would reach out to Apple support as your device should still be under warranty, or if you purchased Apple care you could take the device to an Apple store and they would replace or repair....

Chosen Solution When I hold the power button it lights white and blue (white for power and blue for bluetooth) without blinking. Hi, I think it’s not the power button, there should be a bluetooth button somewhere you should long press until it blinks. There’s probably a lot of documentation on the procedure on internet. If that doesn’t work your headset is probably just defective… did you ever fix this

Chosen Solution My laptop would go into to this locked-in cycle when it would heat up, start throttling itself and not being unable to finish certain tasks (due to throttling). It could stay in this state for as long as it wants without ever coming out of it. This model is known to not cool itself enough, so I installed Macs Fan Control which I used on many other models thinking this would help....

Chosen Solution My WiFi network experiences periodic outage and when the modem is rebooted other devices reconnects to the same network without having to reboot those devices. But fire tv stick will not reconnect to the WiFi. It will continue to display Network Error on the screen until the stick is rebooted. Is that an issue with my modem/router or with the fire tv settings? If other devices like your phone or laptop connect without resets then your TV setting is the culprit....

Chosen Solution I have a small crack on the corner where it rounds. You think, i would be able to use a windshield repair kit to fix this?? No. Or at least, not cleanly. Windshield repair kits are basically epoxy, so you’d be epoxy’ing your corner. Thanks for that, I guess just put a screen protector over it for now till I can get the screen fixed. Had the same problem did the same w screen protector and arter a month and a half whole phone shorted out from cracks sucking up sweat and other moisture

Chosen Solution Anyone seen this before? It’s new to me. The entire screen is scrambled gray and rapidly flashes about half of the screen as shown in the screenshot from a video I took. This is the second display from the same vendor that I’ve installed in this ipad and both produce this static-like image. If I re-install the broken LCD, I can see the image clearly (as clear as possible on a broken display)....

Chosen Solution I have an old Gameboy Pocket unit that was dropped and does not power on. After disassembly, the only damaged part appears to be a polymer encased inductor mounted on the small sub-board in the bottom corner of the PCB. The polymer canister that holds the inductor coil is breached and the wire has become partially unraveled. The canister is labeled as follows: 066 Yy I’ve done some looking around online, and I haven’t been able to find anything about this particular part or how to find a replacement....

Chosen Solution Hello. I have a GE Profile PYE22KSKSS refrigerator and it has started to make a revving sound from the refrigerator compartment. It is intermittent but has been occurring for several days. It is worth noting that prior to this happening I noticed some food in the refrigerator that started to freeze. Chosen Solution I want to investigate the innards of the G613 mechanical (wireless!) keyboard. The product has a known ping coming from both handling and its Romer G switches, possibly from echoing off an internal metal plate. This is a well built, beefy keyboard with a good fit and finish (unfortunately). I’ve removed all visible screws and run plastic cards along the circumference of the part gaps. Gotten some popping (I don’t think any tabs broke), but nothing loosens....
