Hi @jaygrieser , Check that the lid lock assembly is OK. The supplier in the link was only to show where the lid lock is located and how much it could cost to replace. If the lid lock is faulty and needs to be replaced, there are other suppliers online that may suit you better....

The 5th Gen iPods were called iPod with video & the iPod Classic line started with the 6th Gen. I researched the issue and was led to checking the m2 connector(which has a reading of 56.9 ohms) and checking both the thermal fuse and thermistor(both have been replaced) but nothing has fixed the problem..what now? Looks like you have researched the issue. So it’s a wiring and/or contact issue. After you have gone over the wiring with a multimeter to check for continuity, I would start looking for burned areas on the control boards and/or cold solder joints....

Chosen Solution OK so my furby boom wakes up does a awake sound then does 10 emotions (no sound) then sleeps, it refuses to eat and it doesn’t move. The small 6V brushless DC motor went wrong. I had the same issue. You can replace it with one from a PC DVD reader (this is the door opener motor). Shaft is smaller but it’s ok, diameter is good. They wont be pushed to their full potential, but I dont think you would want that as you would probably go deaf… But the amp will work just fine, although if you have 2 speakers, why are you getting a MONO amp?
