Chosen Solution I just replaced the logic board, and now the fan intermittantly spins up to full speed (7500RPM) even when the computer is cold or just booting up. I was wondering if i maybe didnt get something seated right? or if there may be a bad sensor? I reset the SMC controller and the PRAM, didn’t seem to help, but the more I run it, especially getting it up to tempterature, the better it works....
Chosen Solution I am trying to upgrade the hard drive in a a mid-2012 MacBook pro to a 1 TB Toshiba replacement drive. I formatted the new drive, downloaded a clean version of OSX from Recovery (I think Mavericks, at least that was the background image), and set up the system. All of this I did with the new Toshiba drive attached as an external drive to another Macbook Pro. I was able to give the new drive a name, and all seemed well....
Chosen Solution Hi everyone, my fridge has been warm (55 F) for a few days now, and the freezer at about 15 F. The evaporator was full of ice so I tested the defrost thermostat, fan motor, and defrost heater on the bench and they are all ok. I then entered the fridge into Test Mode and everything checked out ok except when I test the Defrost Heater it doesn’t get hot (on the bench it showed continuity @22k Ohms) Is there anything else I need to test?...
Chosen Solution My GE Gas Dryer is less than years old. Stopped working mid cycle. No power to anything. Checked the plug and outlet….but still nothing. I have no idea what to think. But I wasn’t able to find a MacBook Pro Battery wich has like 15000 mAh. I’m sure it would be possible but the question is, is there somebody producing them? I don’t think it’s possible to have a battery for this MBP that is higher than 5800 mAh....
Chosen Solution Hello , I replaced my cellphone screen from nearer auhthorised centre .But it is suffering from ghost touches while charging what should I do ? @omkar1589 that is most likely a digitizer/LCD issue caused by a faulty replacement part. To stop the ghost touches you most likely need to replace it once more with a different digitizer .
Chosen Solution I got my FOURTH Galaxy S8 replacement, finally one with no issues with the screen however this one’s glass back is ever so slightly raised above the metal frame in one corner. Of course, it’s the bottom right corner, the only one that actually matters when interacting with the phone right handed. I’ve watched videos of glass back replacement and it looks easy enough but I was wondering what are the chances of me fixing this by heating up that area and pressing the glass down somehow?...

Chosen Solution I have an Apple Display 27 with mini display output, and I was wondering if I could replace the cable with a thunderbolt ! Is this possible ? Sorry no! MiniDisplay signaling is different than Thunderbolt. You need to use the correct cable otherwise your display won’t work correctly.

The EMC differentiates between different configurations. The 2805 board is shorter and the chassis mount are in a different position. These can be snapped off and glued to the desired position....

Chosen Solution Replaced the battery on my iPad 3 today due to the old battery not charging. The problem I am having is after I replaced the battery the iPad now continuously connects and disconnects while plugged in. I have triple checked all of the connections and everything is plugged in properly and all connections are clean. Any idea as to why this is happening? When you say you have triple checked the connections, have you checked to make sure the contacts on the battery are making a good connection to the motherboard?...
Chosen Solution I have a pair of ACD 30” displays, one hooked up to an eGPU DL-DVI and one to a DVI->DP adaptor hooked to the same eGPU. They both work great most of the time. However, both do have some issues. They smell like ecap plague to me, and I’m wondering if anyone knows what part would likely be responsible. The targeted disk mode didn’t work, and I checked some voltages around the board but I didn’t see anything obviously wrong.
