Chosen Solution I would like to upgrade my iMac 27 2019. It has an i5 9600k as a CPU. I want to upgrade to the i9 9900k. Now there is the initial version SRELS with P0 Stepping or newer Version with like SRG13 with R0 Stepping. For the later MS Windows motherboards need a bios update. Now can I install the newer i9 9900k SRG13? Or will it have problems? I did not find information about any firmware update of the iMac motherboards (which I assume would be required)....

Chosen Solution I replaced the graphics card on my mid 2011 27” iMac, and had to remove the logic board. I got it all back together and I believe that I connected everything properly. I fired it up and all works fine, except that a fan continues to run. It sounds like the optical drive fan. Could I have missed a connection that modulates the fan? You likely damaged one or both of the inductors near the fan connector

Chosen Solution Right–here’s the problem. I’m an idiot, first of all, and I suffer for my stupidity. Secondly, I mistook one of the prying bits as the battery part and pried that off instead of the battery. I figured out my huge mistake after I disassembled the screen and all that junk. The problem here is this: is this phone dead? I’m arguably sure that this battery hasn’t seen a jolt of charge after it’s been water damaged (as it was when I bought it), and it hasn’t been recognized by my mac before....

I’ve also replaced the front camera and the problem still persists. Any help is appreciated. Thanks :) Try to replace with a new front camera. Maybe the camera was damaged during the replacement of battery. Sometimes, it happens that the battery supply input was touched to the other part of your phone and it happens that it goes to your camera and damage it....

Chosen Solution I have this problem with a 2015 iMac with 21.5" retina display, but it only happens with certain streaming videos, nothing else. So 90% of the time I have not problem, but if I stream a video that’s embedded in a web page, occasionally it will instantly start retaining/ghosting the image. It then takes a while to dissipate, most effectively by filling the screen with a white page. Turning the computer off does not fix the problem....

Figured it out. The drive is bad. The motor won’t run for anything but the sensor that tells the main board there is a disc inside works. Going to replace the optical drive later and see if that works....

Chosen Solution Three times in the past 2 years I have had to replace the heating element in my dryer because it melted and broke somewhere in the middle. However, the thermal fuse and limit switch are both still fine and showing continuity. Shouldn’t the fuse be blowing before the heating element gets hot enough to actually melt? EDIT: The dryer is a Kitchenaid KEYS750LQ. I can’t get original parts for this model anymore but it appears to be just a rebranded Whirlpool?...
