Chosen Solution I have a Dell E5550 that powers on immediately, either when the battery is plugged in or if I take out the battery it does it when I plug in the AC. The power button comes on but pressing it does nothing. I have replaced the battery, CMOS, power button and reseated the HDD and Ram. Nothing fixes it. I can put it to sleep when I close the lid but I would like to have full functionality....
Chosen Solution I’ve replaced battery and installed new hard drive on MBP mid-2010, model A1278. Alas, still have same problem. Once desktop opens, unless I’m holding down Command key, computer shuts down. Is this a logic board problem? Seems like that’s the only component left. And, if so, is there an easy fix? Also, are there any alternatives to 820-2879 (e.g., 820-2877)? The only reason I was rehabilitating this device was to give it to my niece, but now it’s getting costly....

Chosen Solution I have replaced the digitizer and everything works ok. The only issue is that if digitizer is pressed more than a very light touch it seems to run the lcd behind. I notice that this digitizer had been replaced before and at the bottom end their should be two buffer strips along the bottom of the lcd. These are missing so is this the problem that it has now cusion?...

When the charger is plugged into it, the orange light will come on for a moment and then go off again, and any attempts to turn the system on results in nothing at all. Mine has playdough in it - thanks to my three year old :( yes, the speaker grill is glued on and can easily be removed if done carefully. Insert a spudger or other small thin blade around the edge and pry carefully. Disassembly of the rest of the unit is not as easy. And parts are not available....

Chosen Solution I recently found a iPad pro 12.9” iPad 4th generation with magic keyboard. I have made attempts to find out who owns the dam thing. It seems to be activation locked. Its less then 30 days old apparently. It would be a shame to have to throw away a perfectly good iPad. Is there ANY way to bypass iCloud activation lock screen? Chosen Solution I recently replaced the keyboard in my 2013 retina macbook pro. In the process i accidentally made a small tear in the trackpad cable. The track pad doesn’t work but i have an external mouse. After booting up, the fan is always on high and kernel task is 200-300% cpu usage but cpu temp is normal. From what i have gathered the sensor in the palm rest runs through the trackpad cable and I believe that the tear is causing it not to be recognized....

When I press number “1” it shows “0” When I press “2” it shows “ . ” when I press “3” it shows EXP When I press “-” it press “EXE” (enter) whatever I press on the 2nd to the last row displays the units that are in the last row.
